Meet our School Board Members.
The Board of Education has the following major responsibilities: Oversee the work and evaluate the Superintendent of Schools; oversee and develop policy; approve the district's operating budget and approve the annual tax levy. In addition, the Board promotes high student achievement for all students, effective and timely teacher professional development, and the use of new and effective resources.
Announcements  Emma Brose joins the Board for 2012-13Senior Emma Brose has been selected as this year's student School Board member. She is the youngest of four children and the daughter of David and Melinda Brose.
Emma is involved in high school extracurriculars as a captain in gymnastics, secretary and officer of the Best Buddies Club, student director of the Band Revue, member of the Link Crew, a class helper for the special needs department, a senior class officer and a member of the National Honor Society. Emma has a passion for special needs children and plans to study at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Fla. before transferring to a school known for its special education program. Emma is an active member of the community and will bring the student perspective to our decisions. We welcome her aboard and look forward to her input in our future discussions. |
